Ylfig Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Hey I have this vintage Tissot (Omega) here at home and I was wondering if any of you knew the story behind it. As you can see it has "Omega Watch Co." and "Tissot" on the dial. The hands have obviously been painted/replaced and the crown is generic. It has a Omega and Tissot signed movement. Ylfig
chrgod Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Nice watch. I know that Tissot was a sister brand of Omega, bit of an entry-level watch as Rolex vs Tudor. Tissot used much of the same movements, and were often a bit more daring in design of case and dials.. ( at least in the 60/70ties.) Have never seen a double-signed dial, though!
Ylfig Posted February 24, 2008 Author Report Posted February 24, 2008 yeah, I really like it. I have it on a nicer strap as well now. I knew that they were sister brands (and are) but as you say I have never seen both on the same dial before......and both on the movement.
