purspeed
The crown I have not is not very accurate, as I have the older model TW Classic. Thanks in advance.
Bazz
The gen crown will not fit on a rep tube so you will have to change the tube also. The modern sub I have has a smaller diameter hole in the case for the tube so the hole would need to be drilled out and retaped, not sure if this is the case with all moderns though (my vintage one was a direct swap). Rember The Zigmeister saying some were just a swap but if I remember correctly they were not a TW case.
Tribal
Yep, the TW-case has a tubehole diameter of 2,5mm. You must drill out to 2,8mm and than retap the hole... The Tap has a Diameter of 3mm x 0,25mm pitch.. I have done this on my MBW 16610 old style... Hope this helps... RG tribal
purspeed
Very helpful Bazz/Tribal. Since I don't want the trouble of retapping, can you recommend a place to buy a good aftermarket crown that will drop in? (sort of like the aftermarket inserts)
