Bell & Ross Power Reserve

Been looking at these for some time now and picked one up on my last trip to china town on Canal Street - day after the big bust last week and few merchants were open for business. Paid $80 - auto movemwnt with working power reserve. HUGE watch at 46mmx53 mm & 155 grams! Came on the OEM black rubber strap - I fabricated a home made Ostrich strap lined with green lamb skin - like it much better on this watch...

Seems most folks eithe love or hate the B&R - what do you think?

Next to my Pam 127 (Fiddy) & 111 for reference

Nice purchase and good deal, congrats!

Personally, I love the B&R -- even if 46mm square is definitely too large for my wrist.

I was bargaining with one of the Canal Street guys for a BR01, he wouldn't go any lower than $80. I told him the guy three stalls back was willing to sell it for $40, he says "Yeah but all my watches have Swiss movements, so they cost more." Hilarious.

The prior day I might have been dealing with the same guy - it was the day of the big raid and only two stores were open - guy wouldn't go lower than $80 (started at $120) for the BR01-97 - went to another booth following day and scored it for $60. Not a bad place if you know the accuracy & quality you are looking for on specific models
