UncleJay
Would like to find a maker/seller who has REAL Swiss 7750 Arktos and PAM0088 GMTs. Can anyone please help?
rolli
i have two gen valjoux 7754 gmt movements. at the moment this is my pam088 gmt project. the maker for gmt watches use an old asia 7750 with gmt modification. this movement is higher than the gen 7754 gmt. ( 7754 based on 7750 ). that means, the gmt cases are built much deeper inside for the old 7750 gmt, and so you cannot swap the gen 7754 gmt movt. i have checked all possiblities. the result is, i use a pam229 case ( possible also a 104 case ). the inside measure of this case is perfect for the gen 7754 including the pam088 gmt dial. together the measures are perfect, the stem and crown fits without problem through the case tube. only little reworking with the 088 hand tubes. i use then the 088 gmt caseback, and if i have luck i can use also the pam088 bezel ( still i have to check this ). at the moment i'm waiting for the delivery of the 229 case. cheers rolli
