ahchard
Hi Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this problem? I think this chanel j12 has a broken crown stem. Can any watchsmith do it? Or do i need to order the specific size and length of stem? In the second pic you can see part of the stem still stuck in the movt...
Ztech
I think most watch repair places can get that fixed in a jiffy. Try your local watch smith. Good luck.
offshore
@ahchard, The crown appears to have a pretty long external stem protruding. It may well be that the crown has just unscrewed. Look inside the crown stem area, and if you see female thread, this is the case. It could be screwed back on, using some Locktite, and be "good as new' If the stem has snapped, it really is no biggy to replace the stem. You may find more problems however, in getting the broken part out of the crown. Offshore
