HighDef Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Has anybody seen a rep of this 2004 white Millie. A gorgeous watch IMO, but I wonder why nobody reps it.
AMK000 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Aha.... a true GMT Chopard Mile Migllia .... I wish !!! ... but I really doubt they will ever make any. How can hard can it be to make it a bit closer. Closer, I mean almost perfect
rmcsherry Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 I've never understood why there are so many reps of Mont Blanc pens (which to be honest I find fairly bland), when there's not a single one of the Chopard with a tyre-tread barrel. I can't even find a genuine one come to mention it, so I guess a rep is a tall order. The Mille-Miglia watches are awesome, I tried one on in Charles de Gaulle airport the other day - and didn't want to take it off!
rmcsherry Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Just stumbled across this accidently - it's not perfect, but it's a bargain! Maybe too good to be true - £8.99 for custom strap and deployment clasp... http://www.watchworx.co.uk/pages/lwb/puPop/TT-Mk2.htm It's certainly better than some of the straps you see on the Mille Miglia reps, although it's only available in 20mm.

Awesome watches too!! Maybe i will order one just to try one of those rubber straps.
archibald Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Awesome watches too!! Maybe i will order one just to try one of those rubber straps. Man, it's enough to make you weep. Think of all the gorgeour 7750/7753 watches that have been repped, some of them half decently even, with those moronic waste-of-everyone's-time day-date "chronos" The Picot le Plongeur Chrono, Chopards, muller King Conquistador chrono, GP's all come to mind. Christ, they's have to spend another, what, 10 bucks to put an asia 7750 in those watches? I just refuse to believe that anyone who buys a day date chrono would balk at spending a little more for working chronos and a little more attention to detail...
AMK000 Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 (edited) No offense AmK, I know you like your Mille but the reps of this model are way off from the gen. How can hard can it be to make it a bit closer. Closer, I mean almost perfect I agree. It has many flaws (subs, bezel, etc.. ). But its still nice for a summer watch (at the same price as a cheap swatch) ... and since that posiblly never we will see a decent Mille Miglia rep, I decided to buy it. I personally have abandoned the "search" of the perfect rep since last year. Edited June 20, 2006 by AMK000
