THANKS! MOI When you say it just "died", what do you mean? and, have you tried: Winding it with 20-30 turns of the crown? "shaking" it a couple of times for the rotor to complete some revolutions? If you have, is there anything blocking the movement of the balance wheel? If not, then the movement may be "gummed up". I have read (and seen) that buildup of debris can cause too much friction than warranted.
