Hi

Im a newb about to embark with watch tinkery by following the modules on the 1st and 2nd course.

Theres quite a few options for tool kits, as seen here:

http://www.tztoolshop.com/FB_Catalog_TZWS-toolkits.html

I dont wear glasses and I need something good but not overly expensive. Being new, I do like the idea of the ready made kits, with everything needed at my disposal.

Any advice as to which option I should get, or which one you have purchased and the quality of the kits is most welcome.

Thanks

Thanks, im going to order it now!

Sounds good, hopefully you didn't pay $50 for each level to Ofrei and instead bought the course CD from Offshore (I supplied the TZ course info and the ETA 7750 factory course to Offshore for his CD).

I recieved the kit 1 this morning. I ordered a Presto hand remover and Bergeron hand setter as extra.

I think it worth the price. I took the 6497 version, just the movement, not the pocket watch.. will fit it in a panerai case later.

The most expensive "tool" in the kit are the screwdrivers and I was trying to find a cheaper way to get them, but in the end I'm very pleased. Those screwdrivers are insanely well made.

Choose the movement you want and take the kit.

I also got the course from Offshore and the 7750 cd, which is really well made (thanks The Zigmeister ;)
