Dear All,

At the Brussels GTG of last February I finally saw some watches I was thinking to add to my collection.

Among a lot of other beauties of course

This one was among the ones I wanted one day or another.

Contacting Cronsell

Chris posted saying he would probably sell this baby, so I sent him a mail.

He replied in detail about the issues and said he would add a Bob carbon in the deal + polish it the watch!

That is what he did indeed!

Of course that was an offer I couldn't refuse.

Today 1000 Miglia arrived and here are some pics and comments for you.

How is this watch?

I'll point what is negative only here.

Makes more sence as am not used to Chopard anwyay.

I will also not compare this to the gen.

Saying how much I love the design of the dial and the band would not really add information to RWG, would it?

I'm the third owner as Chris got it from another person who bought it from Andrew (Trusty).

It is currently sold by Andrew for 328$ and features an Asian 7750.

Looks like a slow one to me, but I might be wrong and probably am.

The second hand looks not as smooth as my other A7750 though.

One thing is obvious: the hour indices are not perfectly clean and the 6 is even dirty (you will see that in detail in the lume shots).

The manufacturers are not getting better these days in QC :bangin:

The case back.

It's a pity they couldn't make the print on the rotor readable, what's the point then  .

The date is indeed too high in the date window. It can be fixed manually.

The crown is correctly printed (no spelling errors).

It's working perfectly too, no worries to screw it down.

It's fine as long you are not rude I guess.

The bracelet is very nice and doesn't seem to attract the dust.

I love that tyre design. Makes me think at my P6000 on my Alfa

The deployant buckle is working fine too and is quite nice looking in my opinion.

The mechanism is perfect. Easy to open, and to close.

I will change the springbars though. They look very fragile and too short to me.

I could remove the bracelet with two fingers.

One thing is a big surprise: the lume.

It does the same thing than my gens or my Ziggyfied 196.

When walking in the shade, I can see the lume start to glow instantly although it wasn't charged before.

I took two pics that are NOT photoshoped at all, no contrast either of course.

It doesn't illustrate what I try to explain, but well it's a nicely lumed watch.

This one is in full auto mode:

This one is with a longer pose time:

Conclusion

This watch is not a super rep but a well finished one and deserve a place in a collection.

If you don't have it, I'm sure you can find members willing to part with it at a good price.

I'm not sure if it is accurate but I personally don't really care for such brands.

I would not have paid 328 + shipping for it anyway and certainly not the gen price  :animal_rooster:

Is it a keeper?

We'll see, but at a reasonable price, it is a great watch so why would I want to sell it later?

At the moment I like to look at it on my wrist

I would like to thank Chris once again for the smooth deal and for being such a nice person.

He really did everything possible to make me happy and I say it "I'm happy".

Man, you are definitely one other RWG gentleman  :euro:

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Stephane

Stephane, thank you for your kind words! It takes a gentleman to know one, and you are one of the very finest! I hope all my dealings in the watch world go as ours did, with everyone happy in the end. :)

Wear her well my friend, wear her well!
