Mctijn Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 (edited) Hello, I read there are some great replicas of the Railmaster available with a diameter of 40mm or bigger. (42mm would be nice) The standaard version of 38/39 mm. is a bit too small for my taste. I searched but cannot find the one I was looking for. Maybe there are people who can help? Thanks a lot!! Can you also say which version is the best? I read this version of PerfectClones is a great one (but sadly only available in the standard diameter of 39 mm) http://www.pc-80108.com/omra10004-black-...242-p-1065.html Thanks again!! FxrAndy Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Sorry mate but there are no good 42mm versions, 49mm is good and 39 is great but no 42, but just get the good 39 you will be happy
Mctijn Posted April 28, 2008 Author Report Posted April 28, 2008 Ok, thanks. And this is the best replica around: http://www.pc-80108.com/omra10004-black-...242-p-1065.html ??
FxrAndy Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 yep, on the face it is just about perfect, but the movement gives it away from the back, hey if you got called out with that on the wrist, i would be amazed.
Mctijn Posted April 28, 2008 Author Report Posted April 28, 2008 (edited) Is this one better or worse? http://www.pam111.com/product_info.php?cPa...roducts_id=1212 It's $50 cheaper then the watch from PerfectClones and it has a ETA-2836 movement. Which one is the better replica? And with steel bracelet it's $60 cheaper: http://www.pam111.com/product_info.php?cPa...roducts_id=1212 Edited April 28, 2008 by Mctijn
FxrAndy Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 It is the same watch, It is cheeper becase of who is selling it, have a search for Paul, womart, Abay, crazy sales, and then make your decision, in this game it pays to research the seller oftern more than the watch, That is all i will say. On Crock gator and ss This was from Josh or Andrew cant remember now. Have a look at Stephanes review too as he has some excelent photos of the newer one from Precious Time, if you are in the EU i have to recomend his service
Mctijn Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Thanks for your great help! But can you say which version is the best / most accurate? The one with ETA2836: http://www.pam111.com/product_info.php?cPa...roducts_id=1212 Or the one with ETA2824: http://www.kingwatches.net/OMEGA-114.htm
Jimster Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 I've dealt with King and the service is splendid. Four days to Seattle. Very quick emails as well. Also, the movements on my 42mm PO and SM300 GMT are 2836 ETA according to the specs I've read. Jim
FxrAndy Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Thanks for your great help! But can you say which version is the best / most accurate? The one with ETA2836: http://www.pam111.com/product_info.php?cPa...roducts_id=1212 Or the one with ETA2824: http://www.kingwatches.net/OMEGA-114.htm The one from king, looks like it has a better decorated movement, but on an acuracy point both have the one same flaw, as soon as you look at the back you will see it does not have a co-axial movement. that is all. if you are in the EU then i would get intouch with precious time and ask him though. Use the contact link on his page. You will not be disapointed.
