beanyboy Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 So I pulled the trigger and bought the Cartier Santos 100 two tone with the black leather stap, flaws and all. It's a cool watch and it will become a proud member of my collection. I know I am going to have to upgrade the stap, so I am wondering if anybody has any ideas? I figure it for a 22mm or 24mm, but I don't want to put on a honking big think Pannie strap, because I don't think it will look right. I already checked out the Cartier store on Michigan Avenue and I am unwilling to shell out $329 for the real deal. Beany appreciates any ideas for sourcing! Thanks. Guest carlsbadrolex Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 You will find that the Santos 100 has a rather interesting lug area. The strap is built to blend in to the shape of the lugs. I have both a non chrono and a chrono with 7753. Unfortunately, I also think the replica strap is crap. BUT, I also found that putting a regularly shaped strap on the watch didnt look good either. Regular straps look bad on Santos. @cbr - Non Chrono Santos 100 strap does not fit Chrono Santos - you will have to buy two straps...
