Help! tried to regulate a 2824, and... $#!%!

Recommended Posts

One of my 2824's was running 12 seconds fast. No big deal, but I was greasing the watch's seals anyway so I figured I'd slow the movement a bit to get it closer to spot-on time keeping. I've done this before. No big deal, right?

Well the damn screw came loose! I was using the proper screwdriver size, I was very gentle, but it came loose and popped right out. Now I can't get it to stay back in its place. Clearly I'm no watchsmith...

Help? :(

You could just leave it out and adjust by moving the y that is left with a bit of peg wood if needed, it is not essential to the running of the movement

Really?... That would be a huge relief for me. I don't know why I assumed it needed to be replaced properly. I guess I'll leave it out, then! Thank you so much!!
