PAMman
I don't mess about inside my watches so I'm no expert. However, this won't work for sure - the movement thicknesses are at the 2 extreme ends of the scale 2892 = slim, 7750 = THICK. Therefore the 2892 stem won't line up in the case and the hands are totally wrong - the 7750 hour & min will fit on a 6497 but not a 2892. Everything else will be wrong as well - movement holder, clamp slots etc. Change the Asian 7750 for the Swiss if necessary but forget the 2892. Guest Sql_pl
What is most important is the date display location. They are using 7750 in a non chrono GT XL because of the big diameter of the watch - it needs to have a movement capable of having a date display quite far from the canon pinion. 2892 won't work. Rolexman
The movement in the 21J GTXL is an ETA Valgranges copy movement. Google it. Maybe this movement will fit.... Don't know about the dial clamps, hands, movement holder etc. Edited May 10, 2008 by Rolexman
