Guest carlsbadrolex Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Check this out, the seller is about a 20 minute drive from me and claims the watch has never been worn. The only reason I wouldnt buy it is the gold bezel... But for $100 it seems like a pretty decent deal. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/jwl/712290162.html
georgegrasser Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 I have this one. I like the Gold Bezel. I put on an Invicta leather strap that meets it at both the lugs and case rather than just the case. I paid $145 plus $50 for the strap. Heavy and solid build, you can't go wrong for $100.
georgegrasser Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 This is the leather strap. INVICTA IS3900 LEATHER REPLACEMENT STRAP FOR CORDUBA'S http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWA:VRI
Guest carlsbadrolex Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 I called him earlier... I might make my way down tomorrow to pick it up. If anyone here really wants it, I can pick it up and send it off to you. Im really not that interested, but it seems to be a good deal.
TmeShare Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 I have this watch also and like the other posts I also put on the Invicta replacement strap. Watch has operated fine and the gold plating has lasted very well. It has the Miyolta movement which is very reliable japan made movement. The illumination is so-so but for $100 it is a good value. I paid substantially more than $100. TimeShare
georgegrasser Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Who knew? Except for not answering the phones I thought they were an OK company. I think they sell quality watches, especially for the money. http://search.bbb.org/ViewReport.aspx?lnk=...45&bbb=0633 Updated: 06/21/2008 06:07:23
POTR Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 George, 1. They are not BBB members.... but, 2. The have fixed 37 of 51 complaints to the BBB, (tested only on those 51 cases that is still >72% solution (a solid C these days) whether or not the complaints were valid... and... 3. Over the 3 year period measured, there were only 51 complaints out of millions of watches sold... which is really more like a 99.999+% happy customer rate (which should be an A+, but is really just an opportunity for BBB extortion, but I doubt Invicta feels threatened...) I am willing to bet that the remaining issues (if not the majority of them) come from idiots who insisted on adjusting their Ronda based moon phase watches while set to the dangerous time frame.
