  1. Looks like 30s-40s Rolex re-imagined.
  2. Open up the crown... Point it up... Heat with hairdryer...
  3. Improper lubrication. Improper installation. Bent wheels.
  4. My preference is Laphroaig 18, but Laphroaig QC will also do nicely.
  5. Yep. The 1/2 sized Molnija 6301 and Sea Dweller are kind of hard to find, but the 1/2 sized German army watches are everywhere.
  6. I saw. Been busy, but not really bothered too much by this guy... He misstepped, got hammered, and defended himself rather robustly, and stepped back when everyone else did. I didn't feel any need to stomp on him, even if his 'despise' comment did make me cringe just a bit. He might turn out OK. I've seen what I feel is worse out of longer term members around here recently.
  7. It's true. My hands are tiny... ...compared to the rest of me.
  8. I've always had a thing for Heuer, at least till they were taken over by TAG. Those two names together still seem like a joke to me, especially after TAG only owned Heuer for 14 years before selling to LVMH in 1999. LVMH should have dropped the TAG name then, but as both companies are simply about conspicuous consumption and the appearance of luxury, I suppose it helped the 12 year old French LVMH to keep the 22 year old Luxembourg TAG name attached to the 139 year old Swiss watch company when they bought it. Figure out how that works... Welcome to the site. Enjoy the journey.
  9. My shaft has always been too fat for my hand...
  10. How about... http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?/topic/176695-Very-rare-Vintage-Rolie-6154/Cortebert-616-&-Vintage-Pam-3646/Moljina-3601
  11. Looks like the obvious "seagull" shaped carriage has been changed and everything transplanted into a specially made ébauche. Not a simple disguising of a Seagull. None of the Seagull tourbillon match this configuration. Very nice.
  12. Gen. And I am sure I saw bad copies of these (and Gucci, and Tag, and every other nasty little quartz) in S Korea back in the late 80s.
