  1. Damn Nuqi... Now you are going to make me go look again, aren't you? I am thinking pixel-blue and averaging is leading to the spread on the dial... But now I am going to be staring at grey blobs on my little phone with my worn out eyes for a couple more hours... Thanks for that. ;^p
  2. I would tell you but A has enough issues right now.... Maybe you could read for the next couple of weeks, because China isn't open for biz right now anyway. All of the trusted dealers are going to sell similar versions for around the same price... A has them for $318, with an Asian 7750 and gold wrapped mid-links. They are not perfect at that price, not even close. The gold wrap will be more durable than the gold-plate which is $90 less. It will be needing a service when you get it to ensure it is free of the usual skin debris and pubic hair, as well as properly oiled. Find yourself a local rep friendly watchsmith to do that job for you, you may get lucky and find one by reading the forums. The price will probably add another $150-200 to the cost. Then you will possibly have a semi-reliable, imperfect copy of an 116523 for an investment of around $600, that you can resell on here for $200 when you tire of it and want to find a more perfect copy.
  3. Dang. If that was stainless or platinum they could call it the Dave123 G-Shocker.
  4. I don't think so Nuqi... With the only 300Ts that I have seen that don't have anything in the third quadrant, "professional" is the same width as the SUB 300 line, the one's with the outline logo, are just barely longer, and the anchor logo actually says SUB 300 T on the dial like the "seahunter" which of course has the diver logo. Yours, and the eBay beater, both have a longer 'professional' line, his aqualung just looks like it's worn from improper cleaning, or perhaps cleaning after being flooded. *then again, it is a shitty picture.
  5. Hi. Nice choice. Rolex builds the only Rolex Daytona. The price is about $12,950. If you would like a reasonable facsimile, a Swiss quartz Invicta Speedway can be had for under $100. If you want a replica, well, you'll have to read and educate yourself on the particular watch you are looking for to understand the shortcomings of the various reps in existence, as well as study the trusted dealers to get a feel for who you would best like to deal with, so you can come to a personal compromise as to which will suite your tastes, critical eye, wallet, and patience the best. Enjoy the journey.
  6. Well loved, to me, means beat to within an inch of it's life on a regular basis...
  7. Yes. I love how one in particular who shares a name in common with me, manages to produce, er, procure perfect, mint, unimpeachably original, investment grade, Paul Newmans on a regular basis for the purist prudes.
  8. Actually a lot of them do own frankens... And knowingly trade in them... And buy cobbled together, other-wise unobtainable rare ones from 'respected authorities.'
  9. Yes of course this is the Rolex online watch forum. Didn't you know that RWG really stands for Rolex Watch Group? I am liking JoeyB's 'ugly' inserts myself.
  10. Looks like a well loved 300T to me Nuqi. And a bargain. Weird it went unsold. I would.
  11. Good? They're Grrrrrrrreat!!!
  12. The older you get, the faster your balls migrate toward the floor... Been sitting on them for a while, expecting to be tripping over them shortly.
  13. They aren't gonna hand you any more than they have to... Is yours. Pay your taxes on it and send half of what's left to me for the consulting fee.
  14. Stick a new blade in your craft knife, sharpen your chisels, find your balls, and get to it.
  15. Of course, if you really want a birth year watch, it should be a watch that was also introduced the year you were born in order to make it truly special... Best one I can think of for 1991 would be the Rolex Daytona 16528. But there were only 10 of these, and I doubt they could be pried from the owner's hands for any amount of money, as they are the most astounding Daytonas ever produced. Since that is an impossibility, get your favorite model with a X serial number, or a N serial number if you were born in November or December. Good luck with your search.
