tenacious_b
I did nothing of the sort and no one ever should. Bryan
Corgi
It's never appropriate or cute to post about your experiences wearing counterfeits to the establishments where their genuine counterparts are sold. I think it's not just "unpopular" but actually "strictly forbidden". I stopped doing this a while ago because for every 50 dumb generic talking head employees there is one enthusiast who will notice a fake and get curious indeed. Let's not make that happen. I know it is very unlikely for you to get caught given the circumstances and timepiece in question but this kind of information can be very, very suggestive to newcomers who do read these types of posts. It is of the absolute importance to ensure our hobby remains underground and exclusive.
tenacious_b
Corgi, I appreciate the sentiment and have edited my post accordingly, but can you show me where, specifically, in the forum rules it states that this is strictly forbidden? tenacious_b
[25] - Do not visit an AD (Authentic Dealer) with your replica watch and show it of as the real thing. If you do so, we are not interested in hearing about it. Such post will be deleted. just answered my own question.....I was not aware that this had become a rule, and remembered actually reading several posts of this nature in the past. My apologies. I would never knowingly violate a standing forum rule. Bryan
