SMP chrono needs work! what are my options?

my SMP chrono is slowly decaying on me:

* the crown no longer screws in. Needs crown + tube. Unfortunately, I've tried for 6 weeks now to get a replacement, and all the dealers are telling me the same thing: the factory doesn't have any parts for the time being.

* the insert is scratched up a little, and the pearl is bent!

* the luminator marks on the face are pretty much useless now! I can put it for 3 mins on the light, and they barely light up (the arms are fine).

I need to find someone in the states that can fix it up for me. Can Chieftang do this work? where can I get the parts from? I tried Ofrei, but wow they are expensive! just the face alone is more than the watch!

Any guidance would be most appreciated! I'm just very frustrated right now! Sometimes I feel I should have just bought a gen, and seeing the cost of "fixing" this, i'm tempted just to give it away!
