simonsays
ive just bought a gen omega de ville on the strength of the movement alone. as it happens the watch is also very beautiful. the new caliber 8500 represents a milestone in omegas history and is the first manufacture caliber of the modern era. it beats at 3.5 htz 25,200 as 4 htz was deemed too fast. it has twin barrels and a free floating balance spring. i read up about this movement and for the first time wanted a watch totally because of what was inside the case. im not going to be wearing this one much and never outside as i recon this could become a future classic and maybe quite sought after... who knows? anyway im very very proud to own this watch and thought id share.
