thread size on crown tube

Anyone know what the thread size is (see picture). My gen like tube snaped off flush with the case and I am going to have to drill and tap new threads.

Unless you (incorrectly) glued the tube into the case, you should be able to remove it fairly easily by wedging a small, round hobby file into the hole & then unscrewing the tube by turning the file.

according to this page

http://www.horologist.com/rolex_crown.htm

the correct size is 3,00 x 3,00... but seems that it's difficult to find a tap with that size.

If you find it let me know

I've tried, but I just seam to be tearing out the inner metal. The tube was already installed with the watch so who knows what they did.
