jcnunez
Hi all mates, I doubt in choosing between the steel version or the black coated (PVD) HBB. My doubt is as follows, The PVD coating it's resistant to everyday use? ..... scratches? Someone have experience with the Big Bang Ice Bang Lite from puretime? Thanks a lot! Ztech
Can't speak of the HBB as I've yet to own one, but I can speak of PVD coatings in general. I've own/owned a couple of gen PVD'd watches and I can definitely say that they DO scratch. When the scratch is deep enough you can see the SS. One bad thing about that is that you can't just touch up scratches on PVD coating. So unfortunately you're stuck with it. Of course, you could have it redone, but that would/'could be expensive. andreww
I agree. Unless you can live with scratches, stay away from PVD or any gold plating. SS, Ti or ceramic is the only way to go.
