I think im going to hold off to the next round of 187's - stripped screws, bezel clicks off, etc. Plus I need an excuse to wait for the 7753. 1

One on mine was pretty bad, it took me about 15 mins to get the screw out. I stuck in an extra one that I had with some wd-40 and it screwed back in without much effort though. Sucks that you got two bad ones.

Anyone else have this problem? Both of the screws on my 187 were stripped whn it arrived. Time to contact EL for replacement screws.

I guess that you mean the lug screws...

This has been a problem since the first 111 burst upon the scene.

I think that the factory simply drive the screws into an unthreaded hole... and hope that it will cut some sort of thread. Compare this - a new screw, and one that I removed from a brand new 111 (the famous "17 ewell", "officne" version) Yes.. its an old photo.

Enough time has passed that this problem should have been fixed.

In the meantime, there is always tread-lock. Our friend...

Having said that, the David Sen 195 that I received today has perfect treads on both the screws and in the lugs. It can be done...
