I have a good combination of some nice gens and high end reps. Interchanging between them definitely throws WIS's for a loop. On some of the upper end reps I go with the obscure stuff so few people know about them anyway.

I have a beautiful new Corum ACC with an asian 7750 that I just picked up from Andrew. It is making a noise (not rotor related) as it ticks at certain angles. It is clearly the standard beat of the movement, it becomes louder when the watch is leaned towards the crown side, goes away as I lean it towards the non crown side. It appears to me that it is related to the escapement or the balance wheel. Any thoughts on what this might be related to? Thanks M5Man

I have been searching post after post here and on repgeek. It seems that the dial differences (subdials, marker colors, lume color, etc.) seem to have no rhyme or reason to them. Some seem to get V1 dials with recessed subdials in better AR V2 cases, some seem to have V2 dials that are properly recessed, etc. Mine is on the way from Andrew, should be here soon (fingers crossed - thank you in advance Mr. Customs Man!) so I will see soon enough. Does anyone have this all figured out yet? Hoping I get lucky or if I don't that someone has a V1 dial laying around they want to sell or trade....

I had seem some recently go off for what seemed like insane money to me, I have a NOS in my drawer. I almost feel bad putting it on my MBW DRSD now, feel like I should sell it. How much is it really worth though? Is $500 out of the question or just the new market price?

I have a white MBW 1665 that I am considering moving. It runs well, needs a springbar and a bezel insert. Interestingly enough I also have a GEN Tropic 39 Superdome that I am going to move out. If you are interested let me know. I'll send a PM as well.

Sorry to break the Rolex theme here, but for fathers day I received a Gen Seamaster Bond Chrono! I'll be wearing it all week!

Im really torn on this one, but im going to buy a gen P/O or a Gen 2225.80 Seamaster chrono. Which one do you guys think is the better watch for long term collectability? I really love the Seamaster - it feels so heavy and nice on the wrist but I don't know if it's the more collectible of the two long term. Any input from the board would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys - I was thinking the 1570's were worth a bunch more than that and that it was some kind of a steal. My thought was not to wear it as is but to part it out. I appreciate the heads up!

So I'm poking around on the net today and I come across this: http://uk.four.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?a...&mo=auction The guy is selling it as a gen 1570 movement, gen crown and tube, gen tropic 39 (Not SD) the rest aftermarket. I can get it for $3500. Are the parts worth that if I can verify their authenticity? What would you guys do?
