Got EL 187 today

Lots of 187 topics these days so I guess I'll add my 2 cents cuz I'm disappinted in mine.

For starters, the bezel doesn't align properly, and the knurled [censored] on the top pusher has quite a bit of rub on the guard assembly. And I got 1 with a bad movement. Luck of the draw I guess. The brake on the hour counter doesn't work so the counter runs continously. Plus the reset doesn't always work properly. So there goes the myth regarding the new & improved Asia 7753.....

But the crystal does appear to have a light AR coating with a barely perceptible purple tint when viewed at certain angles.

I've contacted Eddie so I guess I'll either get a new watch or a new movement.

Well you have one thing going for you! You purchased from EL who is the best at replacing watches quickly! Be polite and respectful and you should have a nice new one very soon!

As far as the crystal, sapphire crystals often appear to have a pink tinge to them. I can see it plain as day on my last two EL watches, the 187 and the B for B 49mm.
