Shasta
Lots of 187 topics these days so I guess I'll add my 2 cents cuz I'm disappinted in mine. For starters, the bezel doesn't align properly, and the knurled [censored] on the top pusher has quite a bit of rub on the guard assembly. And I got 1 with a bad movement. Luck of the draw I guess. The brake on the hour counter doesn't work so the counter runs continously. Plus the reset doesn't always work properly. So there goes the myth regarding the new & improved Asia 7753..... But the crystal does appear to have a light AR coating with a barely perceptible purple tint when viewed at certain angles. I've contacted Eddie so I guess I'll either get a new watch or a new movement. We'll see

Bignasty
Well you have one thing going for you! You purchased from EL who is the best at replacing watches quickly! Be polite and respectful and you should have a nice new one very soon! As far as the crystal, sapphire crystals often appear to have a pink tinge to them. I can see it plain as day on my last two EL watches, the 187 and the B for B 49mm. Good luck! Jon
