PO Clasp has no more spring action

I have a cheap rep of the PO.

It's a 42.5mm with 21j movement that I paid just over $100 about 4 months ago.

I like the watch overall. It's keeping good time and it doesn't scream fake too much (for most people anyway )

However, I do have an issue with it now.

The clasp no longer works. The 2 push buttons you need to press to unlock the clasp were so hard to push in, I actually had to use a pair of pliers to push them in.

After doing that, I was able to take the watch off but now the buttons are pushed in and won't come out. As a result the clasp won't lock anymore.

If there a way to fix this?

I saw some replacement clasps on Ofrei but at $150 each, they are worth more than my whole watch.. seems a little crazy to me.

Perhaps someone sells a better quality rep clasp for cheaper?

After taking it apart twice and following the tutorial, it's still not working the way I would like it too.

I am giving up on the SS bracelet I think..

does anyone know if one of our dealers can source a black leather with orange stitching ?

I'm not sure of the lug width, but I think it's 22mm. If so, Panatime has a black gator with orange stitching that looks nice..... www.panatime.com

just checked, they also have it in black leather with orange stitching:

OK, just looked at your post...so it's 20mm....well they have the gator and the leather plus carbon fiber in black with orange stitch.....

My watch is the 42mm PO so I believe the width is 20mm but I will measure to be sure..

Thanks for the tip about Panatime... it looks better than the ebay one.

Can anybody confirm the lug width so I don't have to wait to tonight to order it ?
