panera
Here is the short reviev: I went to Ad for the compare gen vs. rep THE CASE: Case prety accurate onlt thing that just the color of steel The gen is more shiny and looks sharp THE DIAL: I can say that pretty accurate The shape and color of dial is the %99 the same THE LUME: As Usual very poor. The weakest part of rep is lume THE MOVEMENT: ETA 6497-1 without decoration which is ugly THE STRAP: Standart rep strap the shape and stlyle are the same but he Q is poor. THE GLASSES: Mineral glass without AR. Unfortunately other fault. My opinion AR is teh most important and needed isse for reps THE ENGRAVING: Should be deep more The gen has a deeper engravings Over all the rep u boat is prety good unlees If you have a thick wrist cause It is 50mm diameter My raiting is %85/
MADRED7
....I like the watch....was thinking of buying it, but the 300$ price-tag holds me back for now. The watch is a bit overpriced for what it offers...but anyway I am into HUGE watches so this is on my list.....have only to decide for the color..mmmhhh Theo

MADRED7
Yes Dani....when they started some 5 years ago their products were cheap because they used quarz movements and quality was low China version.....but in this hype-times of big watches they launched a parallel line with mechanical movements and they increased the Q a bit. Anyway, 3,000$ for a simple watch with a most simple movement? no way! BTW....how can you name your watch 1,000 of feet and only have a push-down crown ??? Theo P.S.: but I stick to my words .... if they reduce the price...I am in!
opti
resurrecting old thread to clarify something, does this watch not have a screw down crown? even on the gen?oh, and what is panera's wrist size? contemplating getting a cheap asian version of this watch for a bit of a [censored] around. atomic_doug
Neither the gen nor the rep have a screw-down crown. Even the gens are only rated to 100m. (Frankly, I'd just as soon not have a screw-down crown on a hand-winding watch.) The name "thousands of feet" doesn't refer to its depth rating, obviously. The watch's dial is suppposed to look sort of like an airplane's altimeter. The rep is quite good. It's the gen that's...not so good.
