docdoc Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Might sounds stupid but I cannot figure out what is the differences between this 2 models, apart from the H and the sandwich dial? are the cases similar? http://www.pc-80108.com/pn17703-titanium-a...6497-p-867.html http://www.pc-80108.com/pn17705-series-[ce...497-p-4580.html And by the way I found few very infos about the 177H. Is it a limited serie or a fantasy rep?
Paneraibob Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Top one is sausage dial Bottom one is sandwich dial
Paneraibob Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 And the different movement decoration
peepshow Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 There is a different movement decoration used on the H series and newer models as well. So, the 177 was introduced in for the G series, it would have had the sausage dial for that year and that year only, as well as the "PANERAIPANERAIPANERAI" graffiti decoration. H series and newer would have the sandwich dial and the current Cotes de Geneve style decoration on the bridges.
chad Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Josh has none of those old mvt sausage dial watches in stock and has not for over a year. I have asked him about updating his site and does not seem to care.
sssurfer Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 E-F-G series decorated movements (paneraipaneraipanerai) with dagger swan neck are out of production and they are getting rarer (and costly, if you can find one) each day. Btw, doc, sausage vs sandwich and G decoration vs H decoration are a lot of difference in PAM models. You fill find different PAM models with very few differences than that.
