eleley
Hi all, The last 2 months I am looking for the best version of this watch. First one is the version that most of the "known" dealers offer. For example: http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=106 Rotor has the regulator but caseback is wrong (No LUC, 50m instead of 100m, 8459 instead of 16/8459). Second version has correct case back, but no regulator: http://s302.photobucket.com/albums/nn84/ec...wastatdial2.jpg http://s302.photobucket.com/albums/nn84/ec...tatcaseback.jpg Dials on both versions look exactly the same to me. So, I had finally concluded (with Takashi's help) to go for the second version, until I saw this: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=30600 Correct caseback and regulator! Since the photos are not very good, I cannot tell if its dial is as good as the dials of the above two versions, but it looks it is. Is this a new, "more ultimate" version? He is the only dealer that offers the specific one. The other problem is that if you not keep the watch in your hand, you cannot say a lot about the quality. So, what would you do..??? I would be grateful if you could make some research for me. Your eye is much more experienced than mine Thank you in advance.

Hi Eleley, I have purchased the same watch from Watchstation, dealer of the version 2 that you have shown in your post. When I dealt with him, he told me the version he gave me was the "Best Version". As my inquiry was version 2 in the beginning, Watchstation didn't recommended it as he said V2 has A7750, 21600 bph. The best version is A7750 28,800 bph. I am new and not too sure of the difference but the price difference was big enuf! (PM me for details). I have posted some photos at http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=80682 So far the complaints being AR is almost non-existence (I can be wrong bcos this is my 1st rep afterall!) and the chrono hand was loose after I reset it while it was running, without stopping it 1st. Hope I am of some help. Cheers! PS: Btw, how to spot a regulator? Edited August 23, 2008 by caracarnj
eleley
Thanks for your reply, You can see the regulator in the ref circle: http://s302.photobucket.com/albums/nn84/ec...=Picture278.jpg I was ready to go for your watch, but I saw version 3 which seems to be perfect. I am just wondering why no other dealer offers it.... Edited August 25, 2008 by eleley
Watchmeister
Other dealers may offer it. If you have a preferred dealer contact them. But other dealers may not stock it because it makes no economic sense to offer 3 versions of the same watch. Alternatively, if you are very concerned about the back of the watch I would suggest you go to the limited edition with silver dial. It has an excellent solid case back with individual serial numbers depending on the dealer (if I remember correctly). At least it is not another black dial watch and the gen is a far more exclusive watch.

Thank you Edited August 25, 2008 by eleley
Watchmeister
A lot of people prefer the black dial. I just tend to stay away from clear case backs as I (like you) am bothered by inaccuracies on the back of the watch and no one is going to match the fit and finish of a Chopard movement.
