Guest hoopty Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Hi I am in a debate with myself to get one of the new rubberclads with secs at 12, Though from doing some back and fourth and side by side comparison from Rep to some Gen pics, I am unable to tell its flaws. So I come to you all for verification if this watch is truly flawless? Thx

Silix is definitely cheapest when coming to the new APs with sec at 12.
MADRED7 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 I have the watch for some weeks now and the rubber bezel showed signs of wear from the beginning....the rubber chipps easely because it is only a fraction of a millimeter thin layer over a PVD
fotoman Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 if your really anal - get gens eddie lee used to say it the best - reps are reps - they are not made to be gens, you can't expect to put them under hard conditions like gens. the rubber can show a little wear - but, if you don't bump into walls you should be ok. again - great watch if you need perfection for $450 - i recommend citizen
bosk Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 typical flaws include the date window being too far to the right, thick handstack, and in-line alignment of the chrono buttons and the crown. Other than these issues, its a VERY nice watch. -bosk
