Nebakanezzar
Hey all, So <sigh> I was going to wear my 7753 196 today. I wound it up, set the time and went to change the date...and the date pusher got messed up I have read people talking about this problem, But I never thought it could happen to me. I mean, I eat right, I exercise regularly, get lots of sleep, get regular checkups. How could this happen? If my recollection serves right, one way to avoid this was to not set the date within a few hours of midnight...so I am not sure why this happened. I set the time to around 8am before setting the date...maybe I didn’t push it in far enough, I have always been conscious not to push too hard cuz I didn’t want to break nothing...(get your minds out of the gutter) So anyway...anyone know how to fix this? Will this problem just work itself out (by letting it run for a few days) or did I bugger it up, and need to send it to the great white north for some The Zigmeister luvin? Thanx...I will try to be strong. <sniff, sniff> With all your support, I know I can get through this difficult time. Richard Tracy
Same thing happened to me.. easy fix.. First, make sure that you have a tool that's a bit longer than a pen ...pen's don't reach down far enough, and don't be afraid to push it as far as it can go.. If it's still stuck, use your crown to complete the turn.. but not the crown date adjustment function.. just the hands.. {I made that mistake and ruined my crown date connection} Lastly sometimes the button is not lined up inside of the case due to the movement ring being out of place.. In that case, open the back and take a look.. it's an easy adjustment..

I tried what you said, to turn the crown to change the date, I did several (5 or 6) complete turns past 12, and the date never changed Mine does not have a crown/date function...other than turnming the hands...your does? I also tried pushing really har4d on the button, did nothing. I will try your idea to open the back next...
Richard Tracy
Mine used to have the crown date change function until I screwed it up.. Yes,.. looks like the opening is the only thing left... once you do that, try removing the crown stem, and re-inserting it also, after adjusting the button. Good luck !
