szvwj Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 It took a long time, a lot of searching, and a bit of money, but I finally found the perfect tool to remove the strap from my Dewitt. Now I just need to find the right 21mm leather strap (with curved ends). It's weird how happy this makes me.
Guest shura110 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Good job!!! I wish someone can find the tool to open a caseback as well.
szvwj Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 I'll most likely be searching for a caseback tool next. Thank goodness I haven't needed one yet, the watch has run flawlessly since I bought it (it's one of the nicest reps I own). I can't wait to put a nice leather band on it.

So far I have found this, that might be good for the caseback: http://www.hobbytool.com/33pctamperproofsecuritybitset.aspx
dadog13 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 szvwj...have you bought the tool from the internet or did you source it elsewhere?
szvwj Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 I took the watch to a specialty tool place and asked them if they knew of a tool that would fit the screw. I had to order an entire set (almost $40), just to get one bit, but it fits perfectly.
