spring bar size in the UPO 45mm and the SMP chrono

Hello,

While replacing my straps, I broke a spring bar of my UPO 45 mm. And I wonder what was the size of this springbars? Do you take the length from one side to another and that would be something like 24mm (correct me if I am wrong). Or do you only measure the "inside" of the spring bar without "the moving parts" and it might be 18 mm
