koosh
Hello I just purchased a quartz IWC Portuguese Chrono, and at first I thought it was not keeping time, but then I realized is getting stuck everytime at 6:21. Is there a solution to this? Maybe a new battery, or should I contact the dealer for a replacement?
freddy333
If it always sticks at the same point on the dial, then 1 of the hands is probably coming into contact with something on the dial or another hand. An easy fix once you remove the movement/dial from the case & locate the 'sticking' point. Most likely 1 of the hands is not level with the plane of the dial, so it will need to be nudged up or down to bring it into alignment. Be sure that none of the index markers on the dial are loose or sticking out further from the dial than they should.
koosh
It looks like at 6:21 the second hand @6 gets blocked by the hour hand. Should I attempt to fix this myself? Maybe just a slight bend of one hand? I have no experience with watchmaking whatsoever, but am willing to give it a shot if thats how you would do it.
