i deceided to give my old used Pam strap a second life on my U-Boat watch. (the watch is 53 mm)

and you know what, it looks pretty cool I think

the strap looks a bit pale from wear, but suits the watch.

check out the pics.

do you guys have U-Boat watches in the US?

its a pretty good deal (2 year warranty), waterproof. nice box

and it comes standard with two straps (brown and black) and with two buckles (a clasp and a normal one)

all this for 415 euro (around 500 US dollar)

The watch is a little on the small side :-) but the strap really looks great!

Thick, rich leather, beautiful patina (who made it?) - complements the functional look of the piece nicely.

Excellent idea.

It's also nice to see you and your avatar - certainly one of the funniest - back again...

thanks for the friendly words ryyannon, glad you like the avatar.

The strap came with the panarai watch i bought last year from a guy in greece.

he told me that strap came from Don. I read the name before, but I dont recal him as an active poster/member selling straps.

I'm thinking that the strap came from Don Ginsler who is a well known Pam strap dealer located in Canada.

i think V's Strap guide has his address.

Nice combo BTW. I've always been partial to this one but 2600 Euros is a little pricey.

I live in the netherlands, and the watches really are a hype here. They pop in the shops like mushrooms out of the ground. Myself i think they are overpriced and don't like them.

For 1k better get a nice watchmaster watch of another good rep :Jumpy:

They were last years fashionhype in Amsterdam. Nowadays nobody wears them anymore, fashion is over. They were also sold in the more expensive jeansshops in the highstreet here.

Don strap is very nice BTW

My 2 cents.
