freddy333
someone says seconds running @6 or 9? I have tried to search the lingo but I don't understand. Thanks in advance! This reference is most often used in relation to Daytonas, which can have the running seconds hand at either of 2 subdial locations depending on the version of the watch. The current 1165xx Daytonas contain a Rolex-built movement which places the running seconds at the 6 o'clock subdial. Previous versions of the Daytona used either a (Rolex) modified Valjoux or Zenith movement, both of which had the running seconds at the 9 o'clock subdial. And to preempt the next question - Daytona rep movements with secs at 9 are generally reliable, while rep movements with secs at 6 are less so (though there is now a treatment to remedy the main problems associated with these movements).
