mglawrence2001 Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 Bredren, It's official. I've lost (several) beautiful weekends absorbing every comment on this AP site (et al). Especially good is the "Young Grasshopper" approach; ie: read, read, read again. Absorb,,,,everything, invest time, be respectful and 'gain from the knowledge here-in'. After review: I've ordered an AP ROO Rubberclad Secs @ 12 from Silix on 9/23/08. ??? The questions arising are: * Can this movement be oiled?/graphited/serviced someway to ease friction, "noise" in an effort to improve the movements operation and longevity? * The "Is it waterproof" pix w/ lovely OLA in the pool posted on the AP site were, to say the least 'beautifully done'. And it begs the question. Is there anything that can be done to the watch (ie; silicone treatment perhaps or similar) that can make the watch OK for an occasional splash in the pool?? *Lastly, what's the latest experience the forum's had with AP ROO Sec @ 12?? Are there crossoever fixes from the Portuguisier that have worked? --Peace aya,-'pants on fire! Carerra1
