Hey Guys,

Recently aquired a PAM 222 with a non-descript Asian automatic 21 J mechanism. Have never wound the crown, just let the rotor do its thing. Power reserve is great 40+ hrs. Time sets nicely and keeps +/- 5 seconds a day. Here is the problem... it doesn't hack, and the date can only be set by rolling through the calendar. Easy fix, or something that needs a 'higher' skill level to fix?

Any input is apreciated!

It might be that the movement doesn't hack. The date thing however might be the keyless works or one of the spring things is out of position. If it's a DG2813 (I'm not sure what they use in the PAM222)...you can check out the Ajoesmith movement swap tutorial I just reposted with pics to show you the position the parts should be in.

It's a relatively easy fix...if you know how to decase, remove and reset hands, and remove the dial...if it's your first time, expect to screw things up. VERY FEW people don't mess up their FIRST attempts.
