adrenalin Posted October 12, 2008 Report Posted October 12, 2008 Hey Guys, Recently aquired a PAM 222 with a non-descript Asian automatic 21 J mechanism. Have never wound the crown, just let the rotor do its thing. Power reserve is great 40+ hrs. Time sets nicely and keeps +/- 5 seconds a day. Here is the problem... it doesn't hack, and the date can only be set by rolling through the calendar. Easy fix, or something that needs a 'higher' skill level to fix? Any input is apreciated! -K

If it's a DG2813 (I'm not sure what they use in the PAM222)...you can check out the Ajoesmith movement swap tutorial I just reposted with pics to show you the position the parts should be in. It's a relatively easy fix...if you know how to decase, remove and reset hands, and remove the dial...if it's your first time, expect to screw things up. VERY FEW people don't mess up their FIRST attempts.
adrenalin Posted October 22, 2008 Author Report Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks! At least the is no pressure.... What could possibly go wrong?!!? I will review your tip on the 'how to'... I apreciate the direction and will let you know what happens...- -K
