Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Seems there are many versions, or maybe many different sellers with the same item. Any help to the most accurate looking replica would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
georgegrasser Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 I'm getting a 3717 from PureTime. He has a few BP for $200. Check out the Revue Thommen Observer 55mm!! Settles out on eBay around $300-$350 most of the time, from MacArthurs.
b16a2 Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 The best BP I have seen was the one released by Jandrew (Josh and Andrew) based on the 5002. Its quite expensive for an A21J movement, but its definitely the best around at the minute.

jj69 Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 The ONLY Big Pilot to get right now is the V1 (as offered by Josh/Andrew and other dealers). It has a non-working faux power reserve indicator, but everything else about the watch is spot on. The dial is near perfect, and most importantly, the date window is in the correct place. If you look at the versions with the working PR, the date window is much too high, making the whole watch look ridiculous. The only real problem with the V1 is the movement's squeaky rotor. Aside from that, the quality is excellent for a sub-$200 rep, and it's much more comfortable than its 46.2 mm size would lead you to believe.
