Pictures of the movements?

I'm sorry because I'm a nob,

but I'm having trouble searching and finding pictures of the movements sellers on this board are putting in the watches.

Specifically, I am interested in the SD, euromariner, noobmariners, etc.

Thx in advance and bear with me!

Chris

That's a trick question as you can get these watches with generally 4 types of movements: DG2813 (aka Asian 21J slow beat), DG4813 (aka Asian 21J high beat), Asian copy of an ETA, and the real ETA.

Go to Eurotimez section, he has a post on identifying the difference between the Asian copy of the ETA, and the genuine ETA. Look up my re-post of AJS's tutorial on swapping out the DG2813 with the DG4813 and you will see lots of pics of both movements.

thx for the help!

I noticed some 25j ETA's have a "decorated" Rolex engraving and others just stick to their 25J ETA engravings.

Is there a difference besides the engraving?

Is this just something you have to ask the collector/seller about in regards as to which 25J ETA they are using?

As far as I understand...no. Some have nickel plating...the standard is gold...no difference otherwise.

You have to confirm with your seller which movement. There are Asian copies of ETASs, and the actual swiss ETA proper.
