I don't understand how a contact sport can be played with all that equiptment on. I myself am a rugby player. Give me electrical tape over a helmet any day of the week. Anyway, after seeing some pictures of "football straps," I decided to make my own. Now bear in mind that this is not your traditional brown pig skin. What we have here is a very nice Gilbert XT400 all weather Rugby Ball. My buddy suggested trying to make one out of one of my spare balls. I decided to use the one that had the least wear on it. I am actually quite happy with how it turned out. The top is rubber, the underside is suede. It is remarkably comfortable. Later guys...
