omnadren250
Hi Everyone, I was hoping to seek some advice from this community. I'm a regular member over at TZ and have been offered this watch for sale. The price is quite low, the the physical condition of the watch is very poor. Lots of scratches and dings, but seems like it would make a great daily wear watch. Of course, there are no boxes or papers. The seller states the back of the watch has the model CV2011 on the back, and also a serial # CP363 I've searched all over the rwg.cc forums and compared pics. This one does appear to be real, but just thought I would ask the advice of the experts here. Any doubts as to the authenticity of the watch? chrgod
Well... I think it is real.. Actually, I have just sent the seller a mail to tell him I will take it.. I emailed the seller yesterday. Before you posted it here. Have thought about it for a day, and decided to take the plunge.. Maybe I will use the case from my CV2010 replica. The replica is really very good, but has some differences: All the replicas I have seen has casebacks marked with CV2014 ( The racing edition which was the first on the replica market). The section between the subdial chapter rings and hours markers@ 6 and 12 are narrower on the replica. The bearing for the rotor is different on the ETA vs the Asian 7750 For the black dial version, the text on the dial is more silver on the gen ( lightly more greyish on the replica)
fitipaldi2
Hi, yes it is real. I saw this watch at a local AD two weeks ago here in Montreal. I was waiting to hear news from dealers for the rep. I really want it with a brown eather strap.

omnadren250
Argh!! It was sold, not to me. Sorry man, after I posted here I emailed the seller and paid for it. Tell you what, if it gets here and I end up not liking it, I'll sell it to you for what I paid for it (which I think was a very fair price). The same seller also has a nice handwind Tag Carrera 1964 re-issue. I was going to snag that too, but the 36mm diameter is just a tad small for my tastes. Regards and thanks for your insight on this watch. James
TommyTV
I have a genuine TT Carrera, and the self winding rotor is pierced, not solid, the text on the rotor is very fine and filled black. It's just been back for repair as a screw fell out inside and jammed the rotor. Can anyone confirm wether the rotor is solid on the cheaper versions of this watch? Cheers TommyTV
omnadren250
The watch arrived today. I put two new pictures up on the top of this post.(sorry for the poor quality). Is it easier to tell if it's real from the new picture of the back of the watch? The number on the back is CV2011-0 CP39xx Any thoughts on whether or not this is real of fake? Thanks James

Cheers TommyTV Well I have the blue gen and it has the pierced rotor also... But I have seen some old gens with the solid rotor... What made me think were the blue screws... Never seenthose on any gen... But being honest it's not sure that some gen had blue screws... Any idea?
