dylan
So the fun of this hobby in my opinion is the modding process....It can be frustrating...time consuming...but in the end its a labor of love... babola
Some great examples of Panerai replicas you've got there Dave. My collection is actualy very similar to yours :-)
Watchmeister
Very nice group of projects. If you are going to use a double AR crystal on any PAM (since the gen are all single-sided) I would put it on the daylight. I don't think the 63 had AR as it is a C series but someone can correct me if I am wrong.
dylan
@bab: always wondered what your collection looked like.... @W: you're absolutely correct...but i'm a double AR junkie
Watchmeister
I would still go with the Daylight then. You don't know how the AR is going to interact with your cyclops and glue. I suspect Chief can tell you though.
StormTooper4
Very nice collections indeed, particularly that 002D feeling that alot. ST4
babola
Having double A/R on Daylight wouldn't hurt, although a well done single A/R would be my pref. My 196 was originally from member 'lovepanerai' who's done most of the groundwork, including a single A/R by chieftang (suposedly, cannot confirm this as a fact). I like my Pams as 'basic' when it comes to A/R, single-side treated (D-series onwards)...when I'm after an A/R fix I strap on a Breitling :-)
dylan
no breits for me at the moment Babs...well...for now i've decided to do: tcrown/lello dw/lume job on the 196 and 063.... need to find someone that does cyclops...
