mjmurphy926 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I just got a PT/WM9 sub from one of the members here. It's a very nice watch. I decided to put a noob hollow mid link bracelet on it. When I removed the bracelet it came with, I noticed the serial number started with "M", but this watch doesn't have the rehaut engraving. I thought all "M" serial number watches had the engraving. Is this just an inaccuracy with the rep, or am I wrong in that an "M" watch can have no engraving? Thanks, Mike
vizsladog Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 engraving was prolly removed. I'm having bk remove my engraving.
mjmurphy926 Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 engraving was prolly removed. I'm having bk remove my engraving. Hmmm...So does that mean that the WM9 that PT sells without engraving has the correct "Z" serial #?
vizsladog Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I think so. the new wm9 that is coming out is a z with no engraving. Chris's (et) might have come wth no engraving but still used the case with the m serial still on it. Rolex made tt subs with m serail and no engraving form what i've heard. so a ss with m serial and no engraving is possible

cht Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I know this won't help now, but here's a link for just serial #'s....maybe just for future reference. I find myself using it a lot. http://www.dream-watches.co.uk/rolexData.asp
JoJo35 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 It's a moot point IMO. After all these are reps, and unless you were building a super franken and replacing every part with gen (including the movement), the serial #'s that are completely hidden behind the end links are a non-issue.
