youpmelone
The deapsee is a monster imho, that thing is BIG! holy moly.. and i can not find anything nice to say about it. the milgaus, is much bigger then you might expect. It wears big. it has presence, the lines are a bit strange, but it looks very nice on the wrist. even though the case design is not that appealing to me, it is a really great watch. the IIc, man our rep bezel is off, way way off, held them next to each other.. problem is that i kind of prefer the rep bezel. but in order to get better accuracy we need a gen bezel on it. i had the cc in hand and almost bought the IIc, not to trade but to keep. but my common sense got the better off me.. and I missed on a steel daytona by 15 minutes (no waiting llist at this airport store)... that thing i would have traded.. youpmelone
what is off about the iic bezel? the color off the numbers.. you can see the difference from 10 meters the gen numbers are more creamy white, the rep more greyish furthermore the texture, color, look and feel of the gen is different. easy to tell and fel the difference
rogerthat
The gen is according to Rolex engraved out and then filled with white gold I believe. The rep is just engraved. I own a gen bezel and a rep watch, just not sure if the bezel or even the insert only will fit. The color is in fact different though, I have them 3 inches from each other. Cheers, M

Thanks!
rogerthat
This is probably the best comparison shot I can find. Up close you can tell the color difference if they are next to each other, but without one next to it I don't think you could or if you could you would need to be very close IMO. I am hoping the gen will fit or at least the gen insertcanbe made to fit. Cheers, M Closeup of number of gen bezel:

docblackrock
Where did you source that gen bezel and more interestingly how much was it? I ask as I know RSCs have had a lockdown on these, moreso than usual.
rogerthat
Another member randomly found one on Ebay from a trusted seller in Singapore. It was an auction that ended around $350 from what I recall. After abandaning the project I took it over and hopefully will be sending it to a modder to see if it works soon. I will let you all know soon, have a gen crystal and AR cyclops too. Cheers, M
freddy333
I believe the color differences you see are due to the fact that the gen insert is ceramic & the rep is plastic. A very nice plastic, but plastic just the same. The numbers on the gen are vapor-deposited (I cannot recall what Rolex calls its trademark name for the same process) platinum, which is why they appear a different shade than the plastic on the rep insert. As was mentioned, few will be able to detect the difference without having both side-by-side & knowing what to look for (or which is which). I also think that unless you have the chs version of the rep, spending money on a gen insert & crystal, while nice touches, will not cover up the fact that the handstack is wrong. And the errant handstack positioning is easier to detect than the crystal or missing platinum crystals in the numbers. Party on, Garth.

cskent69
It looks like the new Full Ceramic bezel might be a better match to the gen. mreynolds - thanks for posting a picture. Good luck

Freddy, this must be th first time i disagree with you completely. lack of the platinum/whitegold / whatever on the nrs is much easier to spot then the handstack imho. (unless the 24 hour hand is crossing the hour hand of course) I have the CHS, perhaps the ols ceramic but the nrs are way off. does anyone have an idea how i can color the nrs?
