Just wanted to make intros all around before visiting the forums. I am not sure where to start; but since this is a watch forum...

I remember my mom buying me my first watch at the PX back in about 67. It was a nondiscript 24 hour watch with a nylon strap and green case... But that is all I remember about it. Over the next year or two my only interest in time was trying to get one of those nifty watch keychains or watch lighters out of the .25 cent gumball type machines. Then one day my mom took me to the mall at Ala Moana in Honolulu. We went into a jewelry store and I spotted this Diver watch from Seiko Huge face heavyweight with buttons and chrono timers everywhere. Mom said OK and for years I had a thing for Seiko divers. Owned 3-4. Also stuck with Seiko dress watches. A few yeas ago 5 maybe, I got an eyefull of a B-2 Breitling and new I had to have one. I searched everywhere and could not get one in my price range- it seemed a little silly as they are a Pro Pilot watch and I was sure that if I bought a rep I would be spotted by a real pilot and laughed out of the concourse. Still, I had to have one. I seached again and could not find one that looked that good- mostly poor quality fakes. I settled on one of the Blue Face Bentley reps. It worked well as a daily wear watch for a couple of years though the timer failed to reset almost immediately. Then last year it stopped. I replaced the battery and it worked for a short time; then failed, and I think through threw the second hand.

I started agin this morning looking for a replacement. I am still hot for a good B-2; but am also interested in the Navitimer "two-tone review" that was reviewed by By-Tor. Looks good as well.

Since I am new I will ask here for any Breitling fans cruising this forum:

Q: Who makes a good B-2? Where are they from?

Thanks and it is great to be here.

Ed
