FxrAndy Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Just a quick word of warning for all members who have watches powered by 2892 copys made by seagull, i thing they call it the ST18, it might be worth checking that the retaining ring that holds the rotor in place is still seated correctly. I woke this morning as was supprises when i took my most reliable watch off the winder and it had stopped. Sorry i forgot to photograph it before i fixed it so this pic will have to do. The ring is held in place by its self sittin in a grove in they outer bearing race, you will see that the race has 4 flats to it that corespond to 4 flats on the inside of the ring. Once these are lined up the ring can be pushed and rotated back into position to secure the rotor. I managed it witha hang ove before coffe so it is a simple fix. I might just be worth keeping and eye on these works and note if the ring is moving. I hope this is of some help. Andy

FxrAndy Posted July 22, 2006 Author Report Posted July 22, 2006 Isn't that a 2892 copy? I might be talking out of my [censored] pf course, yes i could mean2892 sorry.
olivia Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 The original 2892 ETA had the same rotor locking ring, so it could happen to a genuine as well. But, I am glad to see the Seagull copy. Klink would be proud.
