how to mesure springbar length

I am always in doubt when buying springbars. Could anyone clear this little point.

When a spring bar says 22 mm (for example) does it mean that it is the length of the case where the strap fits ?

Yep, 22mm is "to fit 22mm" as they will be smaller to remove them, and larger when locked in, so "suitable for" is the best way to describe them
