pam 183 crown tube to long, what now?

i have a very nice 183 but have noticed the crown tube looks to long relative to a gen

that makes the crown sit to bar away from the case

i sent it to a recommended member for shortening and got the news today that he couldnt shorten it as it was set in the case and wouldnt move

i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

some options given are replacing the tube with a shorter new one, but i dont have a source for a new one, where can i get one?

change the case to one that has a shorter tube? what cases are considered the most accurate? who sells them?
