db1
i was thinking about this tool, it can be useful, the archimedes twist mini drill type tool. it is non powered, which means it works by pushing the handle against a surface to spin the drill bit and drill the surface, this way making it possible to work very gently for precise hole resizing, hole countersinking jobs. other than having a high rpm powered mini drill that turns very high speed, and before you know it- you have drilled too deep or countersinked too much. did anyone tried this type of tool for watch making jobs ? here's a link one of these (only this one's chuck i think is too small for lugholes, or tube hole jobs etc..) http://cgi.ebay.com/QTY-2-NEW-Twist-Archim...93%3A1|294%3A50
perry563
Doubt it would work on lugholes. The SS have heard is very very hard and difficult to accomplish correctly even with a high powered drill press.
db1
yeah, i didnt mean it can be used for "drilling" the SS, but more like to resize existing holes that needs maybe a half mm or so, or for countersinking tube holes. do you think for these purposes it won't work as well ?
